MESNIKOVICH is an independent clothing brand I founded in Barcelona and named after my family name. From the beginning, it has been a deeply personal project — a continuation of what I have been doing for most of my professional life.

I originally trained as a systems engineer, but clothing has always been my true professional path. I later studied fashion design, and after moving to Barcelona, MESNIKOVICH gradually took shape as my own brand.

I create pieces that I genuinely want to wear myself — and I do.

For me, everything begins with how a garment looks and feels on the person wearing it. Silhouette, fit, movement and comfort are essential. I want a woman wearing MESNIKOVICH to feel beautiful, confident and contemporary.

My designs are defined by clean lines and distinctive details — an unexpected construction, asymmetry, the movement of fabric, texture or colour. Some pieces can be worn in different ways when the construction naturally allows it. But transformation is never the goal in itself. Above all, a garment has to fit beautifully and feel right.

MESNIKOVICH pieces are designed to work naturally with an existing wardrobe, while often becoming the defining element of a look — the piece that gives it character.

MATERIALS & PROCESS

Fabric is often the starting point for a new design. I naturally gravitate towards natural materials, but I don’t treat this as a rule. An unusual texture, a beautiful colour or an unexpected material can be just as inspiring. What matters to me is the character of the fabric and what it allows me to create.

Every design begins in my studio in Barcelona. I personally select the fabrics, develop the design, work on the first sample and construct every pattern by hand, without digital pattern-making.

The garments are then made locally in Barcelona in small quantities, rather than through mass factory production.

A NEW CHAPTER FOR MESNIKOVICH

Today, I want to approach fashion differently.

Not to create a large collection simply because a new season has arrived. Not to chase constant novelty or rush towards the next launch.

I want to make fewer pieces and give more attention to each one.

MESNIKOVICH is therefore moving away from large seasonal collections towards small releases of individual designs — a few pieces, a very small run, and sometimes a single one-of-a-kind garment.

A design that works may return in a different fabric. A new one may appear when there is a genuine idea behind it and the right material to bring it to life.

I want to give each piece the time it actually needs — to find the right fabric, refine the construction, perfect the fit, and enjoy the process of making clothes again.

And then pass that feeling on to the woman who wears them.

Not because a piece belongs to a particular season or trend, but because it looks beautiful on her, has character, and she wants to wear it again and again.
